One Day

'Twenty years. Two people. One day.
Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their graduation. Tomorrow they must go their separate ways. So where will they be on this one day next year? And the year after that? And every year that follows?'

I read David Nicholls' novel 'One Day' during my stay in London and it's such a brilliant book. I can totally recommed it to you! It's amazingly written and you feel like Em and Dex are one of your closest friends because you get to know so much about them. Em and Dex share such a wonderful and special friendship - I think everyone wishes for a friendship like that.
Every chapter tells what happend on July 15th each year and gives flashbacks on what happend during the whole year, so it was really interesting to see how their life changed and if Em and Dex crossed paths or if they're meet on that day or not.

So go, get you the book and read it, it's totally worth it!

There is also a movie coming in theaters (in Germany on November 3rd 2011) starring amongst others Anne Hathaway as Emma, Jim Sturgess as Dexter and Patricia Clarkson and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Watch the trailer here.

Have you read the book? Did you like it? Are you going to see the movie?

The Curve of Forgotten Things

Here is a beautiful short film starring Elle Fanning (can't believe she's so young!).
Love the magical change of the outfits from one room to the next. I really like the last two Rodarte dresses!

Always

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was awesome! Really enjoyed watching it and I was so distracted by the movie that I totally forgot the eat my popcorn.
But I'm also very sad because it was the final movie! It's a very strange feeling because the Harry Potter books and movies were a big part of my childhood and it's all over now...
Emma looked adorable at the premiere in London. Her Oscar de la Renta dress is amazing!

What if

'What' and 'If' are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life.

Eat Pray Love

Last week I went to the cinema to watch Eat Pray Love.
It is a nice movie and the scenes that played in Italy were my favourite ones.
Reminded me of my vacations in Italy.
But the rest of the movie...well let's say some scenes were interesting and very nice for example the sequence with the elephant but some were really boring and took too long.
But all in all a nice movie and I think Julia Roberts perfectly fit the main role.

The greatest love story ever told is your own...

Finally made it to the cinema on Thursday night to watch 'Letters to Juliet'.
I love this movie!

Some may say that this movie is too romantic and kitschy or unrealistic but I love these kind of movies so much and can not get enough of romantic love storys.
And the fact that lovely Amanda Seyfried plays one of the main characters makes this movie even better.
But seeing all those people in summer clothes and the sunny weather was kind of frustrating and made me miss summer. Summer was too short in Germany!
